OOTD: What I actually wear

Hey. So another long overdue post. I’m writing this as I sit in the airport in Raleigh, NC. Here’s what my schedule has been the past week:

Saturday 24: Tramping
Sunday 25: Tramping
Monday 26: Tramping (public holiday in NZ)
Tuesday 27: Fly to USA
Wednesday 28: Conference
Thursday 29: Conference
Friday 30: Conference/Fly to MN for the weekend

I mean, not like I’m making excuses or anything, but it’s actually been nuts. Between Saturday and Wednesday, I’d had about 9 hours of sleep in an actual bed. And several nights of very poor sleep (e.g. sleeping in a tent when it was blowing a gale at 1100m, and sleeping on airplanes).

Anyways, I have wanted to post a couple of more casual outfits for a while now. Pretty much this has been my “uniform” of sorts this winter. Scarves, long cardis, jeans and ankle boots most days. Maybe not these exact combos (I know, I know – teal socks. It was one of those days). And yes, they do largely consist of pieces from Witchery. Yes I have a problem, but I only ever buy sale or clearance items!

Anyways, so this is pretty much my default casual basic (comfortable!) outfit at the moment (scarf, long cardi, tunic/flowy top, skinny jeans, boots). Do you have a style that you default to?
