OOTD: Business casual

Just a quick post today – but here I start my documention of what I’m wearing every (week) day – no matter what.  This is my latest attempt as being slightly more of a grown up – aka “business casual”.  I’m wearing one of my pre-shopping ban buys, it’s a top I ordered from The Limited in hopes of getting tons of wear out of it.  I’m totally loving it.  Basic, but also stripey.

I suppose the tights aren’t super professional but, well, I like bright colours.

A black pencil skirt is one of the items I’ve identified as majorly lacking from my current wardrobe.  Yes, I have this one, but it’s a knit, so it’s not quite as structured or as long as I’d like.  But there you have it.  Rome wasn’t built in a day, so nor will I be able to re-hash my style in this much time either.  *sigh*  But I’m on my way.

  1. I see no reason why coloured tights cannot be professional. They are the best way of brightening up a suit or pencil skirt, and in London at least I am not the only one. I feel quite dull wearing black opaque or sheer, so I mix up colours on some days and patterns, dots, seams etc. on others. It think it is probably seen as my thing but it makes me feel smart! Good luck with your continuing fashion journey, and looking forward to seeing more great posts! Kx
